One of our current projects is salvaging some delectable Heart Pine Timbers
from a Textile Mill that was built back in the 1880's.
The late 1870's and 1880's saw an explosion of the worsted industry, and
Providence produced more worsted goods than any other American city.
Fabrics made of worsted cloth/wool had a smooth texture and sheen, which was
highly desirable for Civil War uniforms as well as coats, suits and cloaks.
